Removing the fat pillow from the face

“Buccal Fat removal” is a procedure used to remove a fat pad in the lower part of the cheek and gives the face a more sculpted look.

The operation is performed under local anesthesia and the procedure lasts about 1 hour. The contour of the lower half of the face is improved by removing fat from the cheeks, which cannot be achieved with diet and exercise. With this operation, we get the impression of accentuated and high cheekbones and a sculpted face.

Removal of buccal fat pads is done through a small incision inside the oral cavity. It is performed under local anesthesia. Buccal fat is the size of a golf ball or a ping pong ball. Its removal can be performed together with other procedures. The position of the buccal fat deep inside the face prevents its to be removal by liposuction.
