Correction of retracted chin

Beard correction or genioplasty, is better known as beard repositioning.

Chin surgery/genioplasty is the correction of a retracted chin to the  people who have a mismatch of the chin with the rest of the facial mass.

Beard reshaping can be achieved either by using implants or by repositioning the bone itself.

Many types of implants are available, made from a variety of materials, including silicone or other materials. There is no evidence available to suspect that silicone implants may be harmful to health. Dr. Aleksandra Božović-Čelebić will recommend the type and shape of the implant at the consultation.

The retracted chin is often associated with a large fat under chin, so in that case liposuction of the under chin is also recommended.

The chin can also be corrected with fillers.
