Labiaplasty, also called aesthetic vaginal surgery, is a surgical procedure that reduces and / or reshapes the inner skin (labia minora) that covers a woman’s clitoris and vaginal opening. In some cases, women have very large labia on one or both sides and may feel pain during sex or during daily activities. Riding a bike, riding a horse, wearing tight clothing becomes painful or uncomfortable. Some women have no discomfort but feel insecure about the aesthetics of their labia.

This procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia. A strong anesthetic cream and injection are applied to make the intervention painless. After the intervention, a mild swelling lasting up to two weeks can be expected. Light activities can be continued for a few days after the operation, during which most patients also use pain medical. There are several surgical techniques, and Dr. Božović-Čelebić will decide at the consultation which of them is the right choice for you.

Labiaplasty is performed to better define the inner labia. The procedure takes about an hour. Incisions on the labia usually heal quickly and scar is invisible.
